Located in Skjervøy, Troms, the daily departures from 30.10.2023 to 21.01.2024 (except 18.12 to 28.12) provide you with an exclusive chance to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Thanks to the blessing of the Gulf Stream, the region enjoys the mildest winter climate in Norway. The fjords remain ice-free, attracting enormous schools of Norwegian herring that take refuge here during the winter. This abundant fish population is the key to why Orcas, humpback whales, and fin whales migrate to this area for their hunting expeditions. With Norway boasting the largest stock of Orcas in the world, with approximately 2000 individuals, the safari in large rib boats presents an extraordinary opportunity to observe these fascinating animals up close.

Your adventure begins at the base camp, conveniently located at Strandveien 90 in Skjervøy, at 09:00. Prior to setting off, a knowledgeable team will provide you with an engaging lecture about the whales and a comprehensive safety briefing. To ensure your comfort and safety throughout the expedition, you will be equipped with wind and waterproof floating suits.

To make the most of your adventure, it is recommended you come prepared with warm winter clothes, winter shoes, a hat, scarf, and gloves. Woolen underwear is also suggested to keep you warm and comfortable throughout the expedition. Don't forget a waterproof bag for your camera to capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments!
