Explore the incredible Sami culture by joining the reindeer sledding and northern lights tour by Tromsö Arctic Reindeer.

View the breathtaking winter landscape of Norway by going on a reindeer-drawn sled and learn more about the indigenous Sami people and their culture. Join Tromsö Arctic Reindeer for a unique reindeer sledding experience at night. This tour will allow you to experience the nighttime beauty of the snowy landscapes around you and a chance to view the phenomenal northern lights.

Participants need to arrive at the pick-up point at least 15 minutes before the departure time. From here, you will be taken on a 25-minute bus drive to the reindeer camp, where the sleds await you. Guests will then board their sled and set off on an unforgettable trip. You can view the beautiful scenery and be awe-struck by its beauty. Once you return to the camp, you can feed the herd of around 300 reindeer that will swarm around and also learn to use the lasso (not on real reindeer).

Inside a candlelit gamme, you will be served a delicious three-course dinner, including bidos, a traditional Sami stew cooked over the fire, and warm drinks. Vegetarian options are available. After dinner, you will be invited into a lavvu and can enjoy the warmth of the fire and relish chocolate cake and blueberry dessert. The guide will tell you stories about Sami culture and how it is to be a reindeer herder. Later, they will perform the traditional folk song of the Sami, joik, for the guests.

You can witness the beautiful northern lights above the reindeer camp if the sky is clear. You will then board the bus and drive back to the city centre.
